Information we collect
When you apply for test access, we collect the account region you select and your PICO ID. For users in mainland China, the PICO ID is a phone number and a notification email may be provided optionally. For users elsewhere, the PICO ID is an email address.
We do not ask for or collect your PICO password, verification codes or other login credentials. To prevent abuse, the system briefly processes a key-protected digest of a network identifier, but it does not retain the original IP address in application records or application logs.
When you explicitly confirm a diagnostic upload in the app, we receive structured technical events such as build and device information, playback formats, subtitle and audio processing, output modes, network status codes, errors and timing. Reports do not include subtitle text, media names, media paths, server addresses, accounts, search terms or free-form text, and they are never uploaded without confirmation.
How we use the information
Application information is used only to review test eligibility, issue PICO Test Channel invitations and communicate the review outcome. Anonymous diagnostics are used only to investigate compatibility, playback and stability issues. We do not use this information for advertising or sell it to third parties.
Storage and sharing
Application and diagnostic data is encrypted and stored on servers managed by AstraXL, using separate databases, accounts and keys. Access is limited to authorized personnel who need it to issue test invitations or provide technical support.
Retention
We delete application records as soon as practical after processing. Unprocessed applications and uploaded diagnostic reports are automatically deleted within 29 days. Network digests used to prevent frequent submissions are retained only briefly.
Your choices and rights
You may choose not to submit an application or diagnostic report. You may also contact me@astraxl.com to request access to, correction of or deletion of application information, or request deletion of a remote report using its report ID. To avoid acting on another person's record, we may need to verify the PICO ID used in the application or other necessary information.
Policy updates
If the purpose, fields or retention period changes materially, we will update this page and its effective date and obtain applicable consent before continuing collection.
